Founded in 1995, MyLink, Incorporated is a privately-held Georgia corporation. Headquartered in Macon, MyLink provides fast, reliable Internet access solutions in Middle Georgia and throughout the state. MyLink provides a broad array of hosting services across the Internet. Targeting small and medium-sized business clients throughout the Southeastern United States, MyLink produces creative and effective web sites as well as other design services. Who would have thought that an enterprise as successful as MyLink would start o­n a napkin? Well it did. In the fall of 1994, Bryan Hinson, the founder of MyLink, realized the future of communications and commerce lay in the burgeoning Internet. At the time, the Internet was still an embryonic marvel. Bryan decided the growth potential of this industry was the perfect catalyst for his entrepreneurial ambitions. So with a friend, he mapped out a business plan o­ne night at a restaurant in Atlanta. And with the help of a few limited investors, MyLink was born.

On July 15, 1995, MyLink opened its doors, offering dial-up access, email and web hosting services to Macon, Georgia and the surrounding area. With o­ne Linux server and o­nly eight external modems, MyLink provided reliable Internet connections to over 50 pre-sold customers. In less than two months, the number of accounts had tripled. Word of MyLink's exceptional customer service spread quickly. Few people knew that o­nly Bryan and a handful of others were responsible for establishing this reputation. Yes, the early years were lean but the work was rewarding.

Less than a year after its inception, MyLink had grown into a respected and prosperous business venture. In the spring of 1996, web design was added to the list of services MyLink would offer. This rounded out the company's ability to provide local and area businesses with everything they needed to leverage the power of the Internet.

In August of 1996, the company relocated to its current offices o­n Cotton Avenue in downtown Macon. Simultaneously, all of MyLink's equipment was fully upgraded to digital status allowing the company to offer high-speed T1 connections. By early 1997, MyLink was the first ISP in Middle Georgia to offer 56K and ISDN access. But the growth didn't stop there. As the technical infrastructure grew, so did the customer base, and so did MyLink's commitment to excellence.

This exponential growth has allowed MyLink to expand its services beyond Middle Georgia to include the communities of Atlanta, Dublin, Columbus, Milledgeville, Sandersville and Sparta. o­n the web design side of the business, MyLink is a leader in designing award-winning, cutting-edge sites. From a client's modest first web site to complex E-Commerce solutions, MyLink sets the standard.

Today, MyLink remains privately owned, financially secure and poised to raise the bar yet again. Bryan Hinson and his team at MyLink continue to successfully harness Internet technologies and provide what every customer wants - the very best of service. And to think, it all started o­n a napkin!
